The Full Story

In the year of 2000, John Burns Jr. decided that he wanted a better way to show his homes to future buyers. Coming from a family with a reputation for success in the show business, John devised the innovative idea to launch a real estate television program featuring tours of his listings. Houses started moving, and the show became an immediate success and well known throughout the Binghamton area.

For several generations, the Burns family has been highly active in the Binghamton community. John carried on this tradition of involvement in every aspect of the show, as he used it to feature local business sponsors, interviews with local real estate service professionals, community features highlighting the culture and history of the Southern Tier, and more.

With these additions to the show, The John Burns Real Estate Show swiftly became the highest rated, locally produced, non-news program in the Southern Tier – a distinction it still has today.

In 2003, John continued his visionary marketing by posting the video tours of his listings online, to be seen by buyers around the world.
